During the east tour, you will see a lot of nature, rainforest, and endemic species such as lemurs and reptiles. Starting from the capital Antananarivo you will drive eastward to the national park Andasibe. In addition, you always can continue your trip to the beautiful island of Sainte-Marie or other places.


Day 1: Arrival in Antananarivo with International flight

Arrival from your international flight. After all formalities and local currency changes; we will transfer to your Hotel: Overnight at Meva Guesthouse or Ecole Lodge Antananarivo.


Day 2: Antananarivo – Andasibe (140 km)

After breakfast, drive to Andasibe. On the way, after a 72 km drive you will be in Marozevo village, visit a private reserve of amphibians and reptiles called Peyrieras to see all the species of chameleons in this country, red frogs, butterflies, and snakes. Arrival in Andasibe. Before your dinner, bring your flashlight for the night walk to see the animal active at night like frogs, mouse lemurs, and other creatures. Overnight at Grace lodge.


Day 3: Visit Andasibe National Park

Exploration of the flora and fauna of the park and find the biggest lemur in this area called Indri-Indri and listen to the special sounds he makes. The visit takes between 3 to 4 hours walk. In the afternoon, visit the island of lemurs of Vakona reserve, crossing a small river by canoe and you will be able to see more lemur species up close, like brown lemurs, and bamboo lemurs. Overnight at Grace lodge.


Day 4: Andasibe – Manambato (127km) – Akanin ny Nofy

In the morning we say goodbye to the Indri Indri and drive for 3 hours to Manambato. From there the boat will depart to bring you to Akanin’ny nofy (The home of dreams). A scenic cruise along the Pangalanes Canal. Through great lakes with beautiful green landscapes, sandy beaches, and remote villages. The Pangalanes is a chain of natural and man-made lakes connected by canals that run parallel to the east coast. Overnight at Palmarium.


Day 5: Visit Palmarium reserve 

Visit the Palmarium Reserve, to explore this close-by forest to see all the animals living around here. Apart from the lemurs, in this 60-ha Park, we can also see orchids, palm trees, Ravinala (the emblem of Madagascar Air Company), endemic frogs, and reptiles…

Besides that, you will enjoy watching all the fishermen and women using the river for their daily life activities. Overnight at Palmarium.


Day 6: Palmarium – Tana. (2hrs boat + 280km)

In the morning breakfast in your hotel, transfer by boat to Manambato then start the drive back to Tana. Overnight at Meva Guesthouse or Ecole Lodge Antananarivo
